William "Tiny" Zehnder (1919 - 2006) developed this heritage Farm (currently owned by the William and Dorothy Zehnder Foundation) out of his love for creating and growing food. He continued to farm even with working full time at the family restaurant, now called the Bavarian Inn. The legacy he has left behind as 'Mr. Frankenmuth' can be seen and felt with each Bavarian style building because it was with his urging that the town became what it is today. He is greatly missed by his friends and family. Photo credit: Bernie Eng | Mlive.com
Jonathan and Wendy Winkel, along with their young children have visited Grandpa Tiny's Farm for many, many years. When Ed and Lilian Sergent, the long time Farmers of Grandpa Tiny's Farm decided to retire the Winkels were delighted to take up where they left off. The Winkels are excited to expand on the educational components of the Heritage Farm as well as add some additional fun family activities.
